13-year-old Jayme Closs reunited with her family Thursday night after being kidnapped 3-months ago. Closs’s parents were murdered in their home in Barron, Wisconsin last October.

Closs was found in Gordon, Wisconsin. Aunt and Godmother, Jennifer Smith spoke to “Good Morning America,” Friday and told them she will see Jayme when she is released from the hospital in the afternoon.

“I hear she’s doing great and getting rest right now,” said Smith, who added she’ll be meeting with FBI investigators Friday to learn more details. “All I know is that she escaped from where she was being held, saw a lady walking a dog and ran to the lady asking for help.” – Jennifer Smith

According to the Minneapolis-Star Tribune, a woman who refused to be identified found the 13-year-old.

The anonymous lady said Jayme came up to her and asked for help.

The women walked her to the home of Peter and Kristen Kasinkas. They then called 911 and supplied her food and water. Jayme denied both offers.

The Douglas County sheriff report she was found on the east side of the town near Gordon at 4:43 p.m. Minutes later cops made an arrest.

Parents Murder

On the night of October 15, police responded to a strange 911 call just before 1 a.m. The call came from Denise Closs’s cellphone. The records of the Barron County Sheriff’s Department showed the dispatcher heard “a lot of yelling.”

More callbacks resulted in no answers. The home’s landline was disconnected. When authorities arrived at the home minutes later, they found the front door kicked in and couple James and Denise shot to death.

Jayme was believed to be home at the time of the murder but missing when police searched the home.

For weeks authorities had no leads and searched the area to no success.
