18-year-old NE D.C. Rapper Xzai is having a fantastic year. After releasing his latest hit single, "Imported," on all streaming platforms and an accompanying video directed by WaxBando, he has been making new fans and killing stages all over DC and across the country. His recent partnership with DMV-based PR firm "448 Worldwide" has had him going even harder to reach his goal of running the music scene. He is currently booked on a three-show tour in New York from May 20-22 and has been doing interviews on hip hop platforms like: "The Arena Podcast," "Spade Of Spades," "OnTheSceneNy," and more! His captivating stage presence and hit-making ability are undeniable. He will be a part of the biggest show of his young career as he blesses the legendary Songbyrd DC with a live performance as he joins Opengemusa and HHU Records artist Lucky Seven on May 29th for a night of dope vibes and great music.
"Imported" is a sure-fire hit you need to if you haven't heard. Xzai's speedy flow compliments the slightly off-beat delivery that is becoming the sound of the youth in the DMV. Throughout the song, he talks that big dog talk that we expect from XZAI. The hook is Uber-catchy and instantly quotable. This young brother doesn’t seem to miss in the booth as he consistently drops heat every time he releases something new.
“Imported” is not his only banger; if you want to check out more of his music, an excellent place to start would be his more R&B/pop-focused hit “No games.” After that, his “Honor freestyle” and “Margiela” are ones to add to your playlist. This young rapper has a lot in his arsenal that you can jam out to, so don’t be afraid to explore his discography. We hope to see and hear more from XZAI this year and can’t wait for his next project. To keep up-to-date on all things Xzai, follow him on all social media platforms below.
