Some Baltimore City Pools Are Closed As Summer Kicks Off.
Summer is Officially Here But Some Pools in Baltimore City Are Still Closed
Although summer is here and school is out in Baltimore City, multiple pools are closed. Baltimore Recreation & Parks stated that “Some pools had to close this week due to a variety of issues.”
City Springs had a power outage in the neighborhood that blew a motor. The motor is going to be replaced and the pool will reopen afterward.
Harford Lanvale Pool has been closed for 10 years. It is currently undergoing renovation and will be open sometime this summer.
The Greater Model Pool was impacted by water pressure and a water main break in Poe Home neighborhood. The pool will reopen as soon as the water pressure is restored to the pool and Baltimore Rec & Parks can open it up.
Central Rosemont Pool has closed also but there has been no given reason.
In good news, Patterson Park reopened today after being closed this weekend.
