The Baltimore Ravens had a successful preseason opener getting a 29-0 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Second-year Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson played one series in the game going 4/6 passing for 59 yards scoring a touchdown on a 10 yard pass to Willie Snead IV. This was the first of two touchdowns in the game for the Ravens with the second coming off a 19 yard defensive pick six from former New England Patriots cornerback Cyrus Jones.

The majority of the quarterback reps for the Ravens were given Trace McSorley their sixth round draft pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Penn State. He went 9/22 passing for 85 yards scoring no touchdowns and threw an interception.

The Ravens scored on five field goals in the game with four coming from rookie punter Kaare Vedvik out of Marshall. Vedvik went 4/4 on field goals including a 55 yard goal in the second quarter. This was one of two 50+ yard field goals in the game for the Ravens with veteran kicker Justin Tucker hitting a 52 yard field goal in the first quarter.

The Ravens played well defensively with two interceptions, four sacks including two from defensive end Patrick Ricard, eight quarterback hits and eight pass deflections. Ravens linebacker delivered the hit of the night drilling Jaguars quarterback Gardnew Mineshew after dropping the snap under center near the goal line almost forcing a safety.
