Bowie State Lady Bulldogs End the Regular Season Undefeated at Home

The Bowie State Lady Bulldogs basketball team finished off their 2019 regular season with a 60-56 win over the CIAA leading Lincoln Lions. The Lady Bulldogs finished the regular season 22-4 overall and 15-0 at home. They concluded the season winning eight of their last 10 games.

Bowie State senior Kyaja Williams concluded her final career regular season game with 17 points, eight rebounds and seven steals. Fellow senior Dynaisha Christian recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds while Shawnkia McCallum recorded 15 points, four rebounds, three steals and two blocks.

Both Shantel Cheeks and DeAisha Young led the Lincoln Lady Lions with 12 points each.

The next stop for both teams is Charlotte, North Carolina for the CIAA tournament in hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Division II tournament.

Bowie State will be the number three seed where they will face off against Shaw University in the first round while Lincoln will have a first round bye awaiting the winner of Winston Salem State/Claflin.
