Caylin Newton leads Howard to a comeback win over FAMU

Call him Comeback Caylin

Bison head coach Mike London, QB Caylin Newton, and the Howard University Football team overcame a 10-point deficit to beat the Florida A&M Rattlers, 37-26.

With the victory, improving to 6-3.

HU secured its first winning season since 2012.

What a time to be a Bison!

The Bison amassed 565 total offense and held the ball for more than 34 minutes.

HU kept FAMU’s offense off the field, converting 9-of-15 on third and fourth down situations.

Caylin Newton led a balanced Bison attack, throwing for 294 yards while rushing for 141 yards on the ground.

He had four total touchdowns, three passing ( a career-high) and one rushing.

Howard hosts Norfolk State for Senior Day. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Greene Stadium
