Colin Kaepernick’s Ad for Nike Could Win An Emmy
Colin Kaepernick took the world by storm when he decided to kneel in protest for police brutality during the national anthem. Kaepernick was not only blackballed by the NFL but sacrificed his dream to advocate for civil rights.
Nike always was in his corner during the ordeal, and even put out this well-received ad titled “Dream Crazy.” That ad is now nominated for a 2019 Emmy!
Narrated by Kaepernick himself the campaign was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the “Just Do It,” slogan. He not only brought awareness to police brutality and racial profiling in America but raised sales for Nike with this video.
It is nominated for the Outstanding Commerical award. Tune in on Septemeber, 22nd on Fox at 8 p.m. Eastern to see if he wins.
