Could Washington Be Marcus Mariota’s Next Destination????
The Washington Football Team may have signed Taylor Heinicke to a two-year contract but they are still looking for another quarterback. According to former Cleveland Browns General Manager Michael Lombardi Washington is seeking 2015 second overall pick and current Oakland Raider Marcus Mariota.

I know there’s one team in the NFC East, the Washington Football Team, that’s extremely interested in Mariota. – Michael Lombardi
It’s not certain if 2021 Comeback Player of the Year Alex Smith will return to the team. If so look for his contract to be reconstructed. Smith signed a four-year contract worth $94M with $71M back in 2018.
Kyle Allen is a restricted free agent and is expected to be brought back. Mariota may not be a top-tier quarterback in the NFL but he is only 27. He also has starter experience with the Tennessee Titans and even led them to an NFL Playoff win in 2017.
For his career, he has recorded 77 touchdowns, 45 interceptions, while throwing for 13,433 yards with an 89.3 quarterback rating.
