Man deported

After living in the U.S. for 30 years, 39-year-old Jorge Garcia was deported back to Mexico this past Monday morning . Garcia has been living in the U.S. since he was child after him and his family arrived as undocumented immigrants from Mexico.

Since 2009, Garcia had been given an order of removal but under the Obama administrations he received extensions. He was ordered to return to Mexico back in November since the Trump administrations has been cracking down on undocumented immigrants.

The Garcia family pleaded with ICE to extend his time in order for a new DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) law to be made. ICE officials stated that no DACA law is currently in effect, Jorge Garcia have to leave the country.

“Yes, he was brought here at 10 years old and yes, he entered the country illegally, but he has no criminal record and his case needs to be looked at individually because he deserves to be here in a country that he’s known — not Mexico,” said Cindy Garcia, wife of Jorge Garcia.
