Published

on

Virginia recording artist Duce Banx is coming off a 10 year hiatus with a very heartfelt body of work, “Underrated & Jaded”. After taking so much time away from music, Banx is ready to share his new perspectives with 12 tracks that help to shape where he is currently along his musical journey.

Over the years, Banx has gathered new experiences that translate through is new music, and listeners can take fancy in how polished his album is with heavy hitting tracks like “Man In The City,” “Keep It True,” & “Humble King to Humble Beast”.

Tune in below for our interview with Duce Banx:

If you could spend time with any established artist right now, who would they be & why?

That’s a hard one. Without naming a specific person, it would have to be someone I could learn the business from like Nip, he would’ve been the perfect like up, or at least that’s what it seems. Although I feel like people could give you tips and you can learn tricks on creating, I feel like you’re still responsible for your creativity. But learning this business can take you to another level.

How do you feel about the. state of Hip-Hop right now?

It’s beautiful, you can literally find ANYTHING you’re looking for. Conscious, Trap, Vibes, Bars or all of the above like on Underrated & Jaded lol

What can we expect from you now that you’re back going full throttle with. your career?

Pressure!! Heavy pressure, wether some want to or not they will feel the pressure. I’m coming!! But never lacking substance or quality. You can ALWAYS expect DOPE ART. Dope art and HEAVY PRESSURE all 2020!! And my WHOLE career!!

What are some of the challenges you think come with being an up & coming artist & how do you plan to overcome them?

A lot people won’t admit it but finances, it’s a challenge! We gone make it happen but it’s still a challenge. You get what you pay for in beats, mixes, visuals, art work, so — and it all cost, so just making smart decisions with how I go about that. And for me this not a get rich quick scheme so I won’t treat it as such. I plan on hustling hard to get what I need, and I will, that’s just what it is. I think another challenge for up & coming artist is comparison. I see some cats looking left and right instead of running their race, loosing focus and comparing themselves to the next person. I deal with it simple, “you’re not me”, that’s it, that’s the tweet lol. No one can be me I can’t be compared straight up.

What song(s) do you think will resonate most with listeners from your new album “Underrated & Jaded” & why?

Man, “Do He Know” is a fan favorite. I guess A LOT of people have just been in that position. I ain’t gonna tell you what the position is though, you gotta go listen to the album lol but A LOT of people relate.

Treat yourself to Duce Banx and his latest sounds, and keep it locked as he’ll be pumping out new visuals and content to accompany his album reintroduction, soon.
