Erykah Badu will be going against Jill Scott on the next VERZUZ battle

Fans have been going insane on Instagram since Swizz Beatz, and Timbaland VERZUZ battle. Going head-to-head on the next competition will be Erykah Bady and Jill Scott. This will be the first female artist competition feature on the IG series.

Swizz Beatz and Timbaland both announced that the “Queens of Neo-Soul, – Erykah Badu and Jill Scott — will go head-to-head in the virtual series’ next installment. The event is sponsored by Femme It Forward, the branch of Live Nation that spotlights the entertainment industry’s most creative female visionaries through various experiences.

During the mist of the quarantine, Badu has done a few live streams performances. She is known or her singles like “Window Seat,” “Bag Lady,” “On & On,” “Next Lifetime,” and many more to name. Then we have the Philadelphia Native Jill Scott. With hits like “A Long Walk,” “Gettin’ In The Way,” “The Way,” “He Loves Me,” and more.

The female-charged battle follows the series other battles, including Swizz Beats vs. Timbaland, DJ Premier vs. RZA, Teddy Riley vs. Babyface, and T-Pain vs. Lil Jon.

The battle comes after a potential match up earlier this week between Badu and Lauryn Hill. Badu stated she feels like she would be “pulverized” if facing Hill.

Both ladies have released nothing but sensational hits; it would be fascinating to see which Icon takes the win.
