Fredo Santana passes away at age 27

R.I.P rapper Fredo Santana

Rest in peace to Chicago rapper, Fredo Santana, who died from a seizure Friday night in Los Angeles. It was reported he was found unresponsive by his girlfriend in his home. Fredo’s family has not released a statement about his death but friends like rapper Maxo Kream, was the first break the news about his passing.
Fredo Santana, also known as Derrick Coleman, had a history of health problems as well as an addiction to lean and other substances for years. Fredo did announce on twitter months prior he was going to rehab to help quit his addiction. Last October, he was hospitalized for kidney and liver failure, possible results from his long-term lean usage. Fredo had mentioned before he was battling a lot of demons and was self-medicating to ease the pain.
Fredo made his way into mainstream music with his cousin; Chief Keef who is also a Chicago native rapper. He was featured on many of his songs like beetle juice, dope game, round em up and dead broke. With the help of his cousin, he found his own niche and released mixtapes like Fredo Kruger, Trappin ain’t dead and it’s a scary site. The last tweet from Fredo Santana was his announcement of another album on the way walking legend 2. Fredo has worked with numerous celebrities like Gucci Mane, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Reese and so many more. Fans and celebrities are showing love and mourning the loss of Fredo.
