Hoyas Edge Creighton 76–74 at McDonough Arena
The Georgetown University women’s basketball team edged Creighton University 76–74 in BIG EAST Conference play Sunday night at McDonough Arena.
Georgetown opened the game with a strong defensive push, using full-court pressure to build an early lead and maintain control for much of the night. The Hoyas carried a 46–35 advantage into halftime and extended the margin to 17 points in the second half before Creighton mounted a late rally.
The Bluejays trimmed the deficit to two in the closing seconds, but Georgetown held firm to secure the win. The victory improved the Hoyas to 8–4 overall and 1–2 in conference play, while Creighton dropped to 6–7 overall and 2–2 in league play.
