Siji Moore is a Nigerian American entrepreneur and designer based in PG county. He has aspirations to inspire the youth and black diaspora, the goal is to show them you can be your own boss by doing what you love.

Tell us about your chosen career path:

Siji Moore – I’m an entrepreneur but a universal creative, I like to design and I like to create.

Who inspired you to make the decision to do this career path?

Siji Moore – My mother and the struggle, I needed a side hustle for ways to make more income I never wanted to feel complacent. And I always saw my mother make something out of nothing, that made me who I am.

What is your creative process like?

Siji Moore – I don’t really have a creative process, I just get inspired by random things in my life.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Siji Moore – I don’t really have a specific brand I’d like to collaborate but I would love to collaborate with black businesses.

What is one message you would give to your supports?

Siji Moore – Ambition is everything, there’s gonna be people that will be against you but don’t ever stop because you need to believe in yourself when nobody else will.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your chosen career?

Siji Moore – That’s a hard one because I’d be lost without what I’m doing right now, that’s why I go so hard.

How would you say Social Media has impacted your career?

Siji Moore – Social media helped me a lot because I started as a photographer and it helped me build myself and network with different people.

Who do you admire the most? Why?

Siji Moore – I admire my mother the most and just single mothers in general because the grind of a single black mother is unmatched they make things happen when the odds are against them.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Siji Moore – The best advice I’ve ever been given was to walk by faith and not by sight, I heard that advice at a very low point in my life and I live by that verse/advice every single day now.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Siji Moore – I would change the love because around here everybody is in secret competition with you and they feel threatened by you, I’d bring people together because I feel like teamwork goes a long way.

What’s next for you?

Siji Moore – What’s next for me is in God’s hands I want to be able to grow and help others around me the best way possible, but I do plan on opening a physical store in the future.
