On Homecoming, Bowie State obliterates Lincoln 86-14

Yes a football game 86-14……

 Bowie State University football has reason to celebrate BSU Homecoming 2017,

As they dominated Lincoln (PA.) University 86-14 Saturday afternoon.

 86 points is the record for most points scored in a single game in the history of BSU football.

The old record was 83, which BSU played Fairleigh Dickinson, was set back on November 8, 1975.

With the victory, #20 Bowie State improves to 8-1 overall, 5-1 in CIAA play.

As a team, the Bulldogs amassed 562 yards of total offense with junior Maurice Williams  accounted for 251 all-purpose yards which involved 199 rushing yards on only 14 carries.

Sophomore William Flowers III had 186 punt return yards with two touchdown returns of 89 and 43 yards.

Junior Amir Hall played just two quarters and completed 14-of-19 passes for 238 yards and six touchdowns.

Junior Lansana Sesay and redshirt senior Brandon Britton caught two touchdowns  two touchdowns each.

They tallied 139 and 79 reception yards respectively.

Redshirt senior Robert Chesson was responsible for 135 rushing yards on only 12 carries with two touchdowns.

On defense, redshirt sophomore Brendon Ashby and junior Tre’von King had seven tackles each to lead the team.

Senior Johhny Littlejohn and redshirt junior Keion Plater had six tackles each.

Lincoln quarterback Vincent Espinozawas intercepted three times.

Junior DeVonte’ High returned one pick for a 45-yard first quarter touchdown.

The other two interceptions were by junior Kyle Jackson  and sophomore John Johnson the 4th.

What’s after homecoming?

BSU wraps up their regular season on the road , traveling to Elizabeth City  State University for a 1 p.m. game against the Vikings.
