Lil Durk releases “Just Cause Y’all Waited 2”

Lil Durk has been in straight savage mode since the 2018 release of “Just Cause Y’all Waited.” 2 years later, he is back with the sequel “Just Cause Y’all Waited 2.” The album features 15-tracks with features from Lil Baby, Polo G, Gunna & G-Herbo. Throughout the album, Lil Durk expresses himself on a whole other level. He is making constant references to his childhood and upbringing while living in Chicago.

In my opinion, out of all the projects I have heard by Lil Durk, JCYW2 has to be the rawest and heart-felt album he has ever released. Every track, every word makes you sit back and reflect on your lifestyle growing up. My favorite songs from the album are “Different Meaning” and “Viral Moment,” overall, this song was meant for all the people who have been in Durk’s position. Growing up in trenches, hustling to make ends meet, and losing family and friends along, all of these factors is was made him the person he is today.

JCYW2 is the first project Durk released since “Love Songs 4 The Streets 2,” which made Top-5 Billboard last year. Outside of music, Lil Durk has been keeping himself very busy during this pandemic of the novel corona-virus. He released his edition of Audiomack’s Trap Symphony earlier this week, performing “No Auto Durk,” “Home Body,” & “Dis Ain’t What You Want.”

On the other hand, Lil Durk has been giving back to the people hometown. In late April, he partnered with a local restaurant, PHLAVZ, providing meals to front-line workers at Chicago’s Rush Hospitals. He is planning to do another drive in Atlanta, giving away gloves and mask to healthcare workers and at-risk communities.

“Just Cause Y’all Waited 2” is available for streaming on all music platforms. Take a listen to Durk’s newest project down below.
