Man shot and killed on Thanksgiving in Fairfax County

Authorities are still searching for a suspect accused of shooting and killing a man in Fairfax County.

The shooting was reported at an apartment complex on Dinwiddie Street in the Springfield ares Thursday afternoon just after 1 p.m.

When police arrived on the scene they found 30-year-old Ever Deras-Borjas shot. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Detectives believe this was not a random shooting and they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to public safety.

The suspect is described by the police as a Hispanic man in his late teens with dark curly hair.
