Three Things We Don’t Know About You?
One, my mother is a rapper and she is my number one influence in what got me making music today. Two, before I got into rap heavy I used to write a lot of poetry and alternative r&b. Three, I used to be apart of a rap group named NLE (No Love Entertainment), which consisted of me and three other rappers. We haven’t made music together in years, but there might be a comeback in 2020.
Why Did You Choose The Name “Fighting For Peace” As Your Album Name?
I titled it “Fighting For Peace” because this project is about me battling my inner demons that come with living this life. I’m fighting the demons of temptation, trust, and pride all to find peace with myself, peace with love, peace with my thoughts and relationships.
Who Were Inspirations While Creating This Project?
My inspirations for this project were Mick Jenkins, (Old) Kanye West, Earl Sweatshirt, and Kendrick Lamar.
Favorite Songs Off The Album?
My favorite songs are Creepin Yo Soul, Kaioken, and Static Airways.
Favorite Pre-Studio Traditions?
Whenever I’m gearing myself up to create another project I always meditate and vibe out to beats and just start writing every day. Whatever energy my life is bringing me during that time is the direction I follow for the project.
Top Musical Influences?
Definitely my Mother, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and Childish Gambino.
Artists and Media Personalities You Like To Work With More?
I would love to work with more DMV artists such as YBN Cordae, Rico Nasty, Wale, and Xanman.
In A Few Words, Define The State of the Music Industry.
