Virginia has been killing the music scene with an emerging new artist, today I introduce you to rap artist/producer Yung Links from Crewe,VA. Yung Links always thought his craft and gift would be centered around music and dance but years later he went 100% in with his music and started a Recording label, Link Squad Entertainment. He writes, records, engineers, and produces his own music. He has done music with producers such as Flowinhaze Beats, SamMurrayProductions, KekkoBrosBeats, Jcaspersen, TahjMoney, and more. Check out our discussion down below as we got more in-depth with Yung Links.

Q: Can you tell us about your latest project and talk about the inspiration and meaning behind it?

Yung Links: My latest project titled “Rancho Kukamunga” is about my life/things going on inside of my relationship and most likely other relationships today amongst others. I was inspired to record it because I feel that’s a good way to get my points across. we all have diff ways of handling issues.

Q: Think about someone or something that may have inspired you to make music. Who was or what was it?

Yung Links: My family has inspired me to make music and also inspired and gave me pointers along the way and things like that are what create HappyDays. My daughter has been a BIG inspiration to my life regardless of negative things people tried to throw at me.

Q: What accomplishments do you see yourself achieving in the next 5 to 10 years?

Yung Links: In the next 5 to 10 years I see myself with several more music plaques,I now have one for my single (RoughDraft) but also hopefully a grammy, living in LA, opening up several recording studios,

Q: How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Yung Links: The music I create is for the Mind, Body, and Soul. I create R&B I create trap/hip hop music as well. I try to balance it out on all avenues. I’m looking to do maybe some Pop culture soon with a little dancing club-type music etc stay tuned.

Q: What is your creative process like?

Yung Links: My creative process switches up from time to time and I like that because it helps me create diff things instead of feeling like I keep making the same stuff or things pertaining to the same things. I may switch things up or record things or try this or that idea sometimes to ask for opinions before releasing music that helps sometimes too.

Q: Take us on a journey back to the first song you have ever written. How was that experience?

Yung Links: The first song I wrote was DevilJumpinInYourLane that experience was awesome because that song was TRUE facts and things going on with me and my life at the time I was in and out of hospitals and more because of stomach issues. but overall I’m glad I went through that because it created positive things in my life these days I can always go back to that track and just vibe and listen.

Q: Tell us about your new single?

Yung Links: My new single titled YuuuonLoveMe will be released on August 27th. on ALL major platforms for fans and etc.

Q: What challenges have you encounter since being a music artist and how have you overcome them?

Yung Links: We all struggle with things each and every day. We ALL handle things diff one way I handle things is by speaking to God about it and trying to find guidance about things. I have encountered financial issues, I have encountered bad business/music deals, and more I just look at those things like YouLiveAndYouLearn.

Q: Which qualities do you think to make a great musician?

Yung Links: Trying to make yourself a better artist each day, keep working, keep finding new ideas, keep tryna learn new things that go along with music, even try to learn some instruments as me now learning the guitar.

Q: Describe your favorite and least favorite part about being a musician.

Yung Links: I LOVE every part about being a musician, my music career I love it all now you can have positive without negative so I’ll say I don’t like how hatred is these days when it comes to music I wish everybody would show each other more love these days it’s like everybody gotta be the first to do something before any love get shown.. ya dig

Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Yung Links: The best advice I have ever gotten was from my parents just saying keep striving and we support you regardless.

 Q: What’s next for you?

Yung Links: next I’m about to release another single and a mixtape in the near future no specific date yet on the mixtape but I know it will be a great experience.

Take a listen to YungLinks latest project “Rancho Kukamunga” and newest single ” YuuuonLoveMe”.
