The 2018-19 All-Defensive Team Features Stars Giannis Antetokounmpo & Paul George

NBA ALL-DEFENSIVE Team

Length, athleticism, & tenacity. What more could you want from your star defenders???

Legendary Alabama University Football coach Bear Bryant once said, “Offense wins games, defense wins championships.” Well, the All-Defensive 1st and 2nd teams were announced and feature the best and consistent defenders in the game. To this day the quote remains true.

The Milwaukee Bucks have been a terror on the defensive end of the court all year and have teammates Giannis Antetokounmpo and Eric Bledsoe on the 1st team. This is both teammates 1st time being selected.

Paul George keeps his career year going and earns a spot on the first team for the 2nd time. Former 2018 Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert earns his 3rd consecutive first-team honor.

Boston Celtic guard Marcus Smart who has always been known as a tough and fiery defender finally earns an All-Defensive First Team selection.

The NBA All-Defensive 2nd Team isn’t too shabby. Every player listed has had at least one NBA All-Star appearance. They feature the pestering defense of New Orleans guard Jrue Holiday and Golden State’s guard Klay Thompson.

76ers Joel Embiid fills in the middle with his shot blocking ability. The heart and soul of the Warriors Draymond Green who has three 1st-team selections make the 2nd-team for the 2nd time in his career.

Superstar and MVP candidate Kawhi Leonard earns his 2nd selection to the 2nd-team. He has also made the 1st-time three times in his career.
