New Black-Owned Restaurant Alert! – Creole on 14th DC

Published

on

If you’ve been listening to the streets, the word is… that the new black-owned restaurant Creole on 14th DC is a force to be reckoned with. Creole on 14th is where southern soul food meets Marylands/DC’s lump crab — it’s in almost every entree! Chef Jeffeary Miskiri, also the owner of Poy Boy Jim, has embarked on a mission to bringing that creole flavor to the DMV.

Even though Creole on 14th was set to open in early June, Chef Miskiri opened his brand new sit-in restaurant on Juneteenth, the day marking the liberation of the last Black people in the U.S (awesome right?!). Creole on 14th seats about 130 guests, although they have been operating at 50% capacity to comply with COVID-19 regulations and guidelines.

Creole on 14th offers a diverse selection of southern comfort foods including, shrimp and grits,  creole ribeye,  macaroni and cheese, jambalaya, and oxtail stew.

Here are some dishes The Food Page and Taste DMV were lucky enough to devour!
