Princeton Holds Off George Mason Women’s Basketball in 71–69 Overtime Win

In the first half, Princeton got the lead from efficient scoring across the lineup, finishing the first quarter up 16–13 and extending it to 34–27 by halftime, as George Mason struggled to find consistent offense. In the second half, George Mason came out stronger and made a comeback, outscoring Princeton in the fourth quarter and pulling the game to 63–63 by the end of regulation.
In overtime, the teams traded baskets in a back-and-forth period. Still, Princeton stayed composed late, capitalizing at the free-throw line and getting crucial defensive stops in the final possessions to pull away and secure the narrow overtime victory.
Final score: Princeton 71, George Mason 69 (OT).
George Mason was led offensively by Zahirah Walton with 18 points and Kennedy Harris with 17 points, followed by Jada Brown and Mary Amoateng with 6 points each, and Hawa Komara adding 2 points.
