Three things we don’t know about you?

As an artist, the public never sees the work you put in. So I’d say people don’t know how much work and effort I put into every song. I’ve also been shot before, not many people know that. And I’ve battled depression for years. Those would be the 3 things.

Passionate, creative, unique, different, and dope

Favorite pre studio traditions?

Hmm..I actually don’t think I have any. When I get in the studio I have one goal in mind and that’s to make what I hear in my head come out the same way through those speakers. I guess if anything I have to get a bottle of water to stay hydrated for however long I’m in there.

Pre performance traditions?

I don’t know if I’d call it a tradition but I sometimes like to get a drink or two to ease my nerves and hang around the stage and listen to whoever else is performing that night. I’m always on the lookout for dope artists.

Top five biggest musical influences?

Oh man, it’s gonna be hard cutting it down to five but I can’t start this list without Kanye. Old Kanye at least, but his creativity is unmatched. I’d probably go J. Cole, Big KRIT, Biggie and Bone Thugs N Harmony got me into rapping. I hope to be in the conversation as all of them one day.

Define the music industry

The music industry is like that pretty girl you’ve been wanting to get her number for mad long, only to finally get it and realize she has the personality of a brick. The game is mad saturated now with the Lil whoever’s and just wack artists and I hate the way it’s heading. Rap used to be hard to break into even if you had the bars, now, you don’t need to rhyme or even be understood. You just need to have a certain image and have a semi-catchy hook. That’s wack to me. I need quality

Artists and media personalities you like to work with more?

I’m down to work with whoever for the sake of making good music. Every member in Abstract Campus is dope, from Kwest Markz, to Donnie Abstract, to Mitoga and Wade Wilson…eventually I hope to work with the likes of Logic, Wale and Odyssey. Just to name some people from around here

Any Shout outs?

Yeah man shoutout to the whole Abstract Campus. My brothers held me down since 2010 and I’m grateful for them. Also wanna shoutout Mitoga for growing with me as artists. I hope one day the world finally hears his work.

I gave you 3 earlier from the DMV, but I’d definitely want to work with J. Cole, Bas, Lute, Big KRIT, Kanye, Royce Da 5’9, Isaiah Rashad, Jaden Smith, Joey Badass and Chance The Rapper…I think I could make dope music with all those guys
