The Wizards Cruise Past Orlando Magic With 120-112 Win At Home

The Washington Wizards turned things around mighty quickly after their loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, with a 120-112 home win over the Orlando Magic last night. Veteran guard CJ McCollum led the Wizards with 27 points plus an addition 23, 7 boards and 5 blocks from 2nd year player Alex Sarr. Heading into halftime the Wizards led the Magic by 12 points and never looked back, scoring was coming from all over the floor.

The Wizards’ youth begun to show after they took an 89-63 lead on Justin Champagnie‘s 3-pointer in the 3rd quarter, who also contributed with 17 pts while coming off the bench. In his 17 minutes of playing time, he shot 4-5 from Three, while also posting a +10 in +/-.
A late rally from Orlando cut the deficit to 14 points by the end of third period and continued its rally as Washington began the fourth quarter by shooting 2 of 10 from the field. But the rally was cut short after CJ McCollum hits a late 3 pointer to put the Wizards up 9 points, this came after he found Sarr for an Alley-Opp plus a midrange jumper to secure the Wizards win.
The Wizards are now 7-5 in their last 12 games, after starting the season 3-20.
