Actor, Comedian, & Recording Artist Tony Cobain has released his new album “Different Energy”.  The album consists of 8-tracks and one feature with Chad X. Ali. With the raw and speedy flow, the Baltimore native is bringing awareness and light to everything going on today in society. Early listeners have even said this is the best rap album of the year thus far.

While listening to the 5th track “Life Is What U Make It,” Cobain makes constant references to his past and traumatic events that have happened so far in 2020. Remarking on the death of NBA Legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant.

One specific line in the song that caught my attention was: “they took off the shackles, but we are not really free.” Those words made me think that to what is currently going on right now in society and truth be told, we are really not free.

Another impact verse Cobain said on that track was: “Get my message, use your words as your Smith & Wesson/ because it’s power in what we in tongues of daily things/ but it’s used to create the almighty pain,” which means that the words we say are powerful and can impact our everyday life. So instead of using guns to fight, use the power of voice as your gun.

You can stream ‘Different Energy’ on all music streaming platforms. Follow Tony Cobain on Instagram and Twitter  @iamtonycobain. Check out the official music video for “Life Is What U Make It” down below.
