Uber driver stabbed after limiting number of passengers during trip from DC Walmart

An Uber driver survived a stabbing after he tried to limit the number of passengers during a trip from Walmart in Northwest, D.C.

The incident was reported around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Walmart on H Street. The driver told the suspect his group would not be able to fit inside the vehicle and that his ride would be canceled. According to officers, the surveillance video showed the suspect assaulting the drivers and stabbing him near the entrance of the store.

The victim was hospitalized, and the suspect has been arrested and faces charges for assault with a dangerous weapon.
