Washington Redskins All Decade Team 2010-2019

This decade has not been kind to the Washington Football franchise. With a record of 62-97, it is mostly bad, but there are some bright spots. This decade saw two NFC East Championships and the most prolific passing and rushing seasons in franchise history.

Without any further ado, here is your Washington Football All Decade Team 2010-2019.

QB: Kirk Cousins

He currently holds three of the top four seasons in franchise history for passing yards, including a franchise best, 4917 passing yards in 2016. He also has the 2nd most passing TDs in one season (29) only behind Sonny Jurgensen(31). Sorry RG3 fans!

RB: Alfred Morris

Morris was Washington’s leading rusher from 2012 to 2016. He is also the franchise’s single season rushing leader with 1613 yards in 2012. Averaging 4.4 YPC with Washington, Morris always fell forward for extra yardage. Florida Atlantic’s finest!

RB/Flex: Chris Thompson

Thompson was the Redskins’ most versatile weapon from 2013 to 2019. He averaged 6.4 yards per touch during his tenure. Thompson had all the skills you’d like to see from a running back except durability.

WR: Pierre Garcon

Garcon signed a five-year $47.5 million contract with $20 million guaranteed. Looking back on this deal, he was completely worth it. He posted 68 or more catches four times and became Washington’s single season receptions leader with 113 catches in 2013. The scrappy Division III wide receiver was not the easiest guy tackle in the open field. YAC could have been his middle name.

WR: DeSean Jackson

Jackson surpassed 1000 receiving yards twice during his tenure in Washington. Most of those yards came from deep ball catches that helped stretch the defense and open up opportunities for other teammates underneath. When healthy, Jackson was one of the most dynamic players in the NFL.

TE: Jordan Reed

Reed led the team in receiving twice in 2015 and 2018. Reed was in the upper echelon of tight ends. Unfortunately, injury after injury handicapped his time in Washington and his career. Concussions are nothing to play with and we pray for his health and well being.

LT: Trent Williams

A 7 time Pro Bowl Left Tackle. Trent played through injuries and left it all on the field. Besides slapping Richard Sherman after a NFC Wild Card loss, Williams is a very disciplined player and his jersey should be retired (but it won’t be). Trent’s time in Washington will end on a very sour note.

LG/ C: Kory Lichtensteiger

Kory played LG and C from 2012 to 2016 and played in 99% of team’s offensive snaps from 2012 to 2014.

RG: Brandon Scherff

3 Time Pro Bowler. Starter from 2015 -2019.

RT: Morgan Moses

A lot of penalties but the best ability is reliability and he’s played 16 games in each season from 2015 to 2019.

DT: Chris Baker

Baker played from 2012 to 2016 and recorded an career high 6 sacks in 2015.

DT: Matthew Ioannidis

Ioannidis played from 2016 to 2019 and recorded an career high 8.5 sacks in 2019.

DT: Jonathan Allen

Drafted in the 1st round of the 2017 draft, Allen had a career high 8 sacks in 2018 at the age of 23 and has a promising future.

OLB: Ryan Kerrigan

Kerrigan has been with Washington since 2011. A 4 time Pro Bowler, Kerrigan reached double digit sacks 4 times and played in all 16 games from 2011 to 2018. He is one sack shy of the franchise record (91).

OLB: Brian Orakpo

Orakpo was a 3 time pro bowler with the Redskins. Orakpo had 40 sacks in 6 seasons with team.

MLB: London Fletcher

A Pro Bowler from 2010 to 2013, Fletcher played in every game during that span. He recorded a career high 166 tackles in 2011 and ended his career in Washington. Safe to say, London Fletcher’s career aged like fine wine and he saved the best for last.

MLB: Mason Foster

Played in Washington from 2015 to 2018. He recorded a career high in tackles with 131 in 2018.

CB: DeAngelo Hall

From 2010 to 2013, Hall played all 16 games on the left side. In 2010, he had 4 interceptions against Jay Cutler in one game, including  a 92 yard interception return for a TD to seal the win. Hall played for Washington from 2010 to 2017 and made the Pro Bowl one time.

CB: Bashaud Breeland

Played for Washington from 2014 to 2017. There is nothing exciting to say. It’s slim pickings. And yes, he’s been better than Josh Norman.

SS: Landon Collins

Redskins signed Collins after the Giants let him go. Collins did not force a turnover in his first season with Washington, but his reputation around the league gets him the spot.

FS: D.J. Swearinger

From 2017-2018, Swearinger played in 31 of 32 games.

K: Dustin Hopkins

Kicker from 2015 to 2019 with a career 85% field goal percentage.

P: Tress Way

Punter from 2014 to 2019. The 1 time Pro Bowler gets a lot of practice punting due to offensive struggles.
