Authorities confirmed an 18-year-old has been convicted of the murder and armed drug-related robbery of a Charles County high school student in February 2020. 

Darryl Edward Freeman,17 at the time of the crime, was convicted Thursday of the first-degree felony murder and armed robbery of Bradley Brown.

Freeman was the third suspect arrested in connection to Brown’s death

Investigators say that Freeman and two others planned to rob Brown during a transaction that involved $850 worth of THC vape cartridges at Brown’s residence, he was shot and killed.

Text and Snapchat messages were analyzed over the course of the investigation, said, officials.

A sentencing date has been set for Freeman for August 31 at 1 p.m.
