Rihanna, Bruno Mars & Janet Jackson Targeted In Million Dollar Concert Scam

Four suspects have been arrested in connection a multi-million dollar scam after claiming to know Rihanna, Bruno Mars & Janet Jackson. According to the New York Daily News, the four suspects were arrested in California yesterday after a conspiracy to set up a fake concert with the three stars as headliners.

The four men were working to raise $19.5 million dollars for a fake Rihanna tour. Rihanna’s lawyer had contacted the FBI last July when they heard of the scam after 39-year-old Kwasi Asare’s illegal moves. A undercover cop had met with Asare who tried to scam into investing $4 million dollars to see Rihanna and Bruno Mars perform in San Diego’s Petco Park.

“Bruno Mars never agreed to do the Petco Park Show, nor had anyone even made him such a proposition,” the complaint states, according to the publication.

Kwasi also attempted to make a deal with the undercover agent for a concert involving Janet Jackson.

The four defendants – Kwasi, 52-year-old Mark Lamica, 47-year-old James Ganiere, and 49-year-old Kevin Carriker, are expected to appear in federal court next month.
