Give us a little back of yourself

-I’m a 26-year-old media correspondent, inspo digital content creator, and now Miss Louisiana United States 2018.

As Miss Louisiana U.S., my mission is to serve as an advocate and liaison to bridge the gap between mental illness professionals and the families and individuals who need their services.

By using my platform as Miss Louisiana, I’ll be able to promote mental health awareness, explore signs and symptoms of mental health conditions, and highlight how and where to find help by partnering with organizations whose mission aligns with this message.

Being a black woman in the entertainment industry, what challenges do you face?
– It’s 2018 and I believe we’ve created our own lane. We are finally seeing the results of our past ancestors and those who have paved the way for us so many challenges are more so centered around what’s trending and not falling into the trap of what’s trending. Because I am a black woman, it is my responsibility to continue to be a voice and properly represent and speak up when needed.
