This is the first line of XXXTentacion’s newly updated Wikipedia page. Mr.Onfroy was recently killed in Florida. His attacker is unknown as I type but XXXTentacion’s last IG Live video gave us a lot of clues to that he maybe felt like someone was hunting for him.
I was on Twitter when it first happened an when he was sadly produced dead. Here are some of the reactions.

Now, let’s break this down. Of course, there’s war, gang warfare, assigned hits, and just plain nasty ways that people are killed on a daily basis. BUT, death is never something to laugh at or to play around with.
On on a deeper level, XXXTentacion was 20 years old. He has family and fans despite his questionable content. And despite that content, he’s still human. Yes, I don’t listen to his music or really accept these ways but I respect that he was a human being.
To see people on these apps so bloodthirsty and just straight grimy over this death is out of pocket. Yes, your actions can lead to greater reactions but there’s still a sense of respect that should be apparent.
I literally watched his body in his car unconscious right after he was shot. Who recorded that video? Secondly, why were me and so many other people were unphased by the sight of his body?
It somewhat leads to a bigger picture, well a few of them. Firstly, being desensitized to seeing major violence and death. It’s a little interesting to see over time that our generation is rather unbothered and just plain desensitized of seeing dead bodies and other results of violence. Yes, it’s scary but it’s just somewhat explainable.
Also, the nasty reactions are also leading to the bigger picture. That picture, however way you frame it, shows that people just are out of pocket; too many people. Being nasty and inconsiderate is a trend that needs to slow down. Cheering and using this moment this down this man is extremely disrespectful.
No matter how you feel about a person, death is something to never joke about.
