When it comes to procuring a vaccination and/or appointment, the process can be arduous and has left many frustrated at the thought of it, which prompted 14-year-old Sawyer Thompson from Alexandria to help give back to his community, according to NBC Washington.

Thompson became very frustrated about trying to get the COVID-19 vaccine appointment and said “it was just upsetting that, like, this system was like that. Like, you shouldn’t have to sit in front of a computer or on a 1-800 number for the entire day with no guarantee of getting a vaccine appointment.”

Thompson used his computer coding skills to create DMVVaccine.com. The site provides a live Twitter feed, which notifies people when appointments become available snd Thompson has gotten a positive response from people.
