3 hospitalized after weekend shooting at Virginia Beach

Three people were hospitalized after being shot at Virginia Beach over the weekend.

Virginia Beach police officers responded to sounds of gunfire near the Atlantic Ocean minutes before 1:30 a.m. Sunday, when they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Moments later, authorities said they received a report that two other people have been shot nearby.

All three victims were taken to a hospital with wounds that weren’t considered life-threatening.

Authorities didn’t comment further on the circumstances leading to the shooting or identify the victims.
