A Fire In McLean, VA Has Left 1 Person Dead.
One person is dead after a fire in the McLean area on Saturday afternoon.
Fairfax County fire officials could not confirm the victim’s identity. Fire officials say crews needed to fight through thick brush to reach the home in the 1400 block of Brookhaven Drive around 12:15 p.m.
They also encountered what they described as “hoarding conditions” within the home, as well as heavy fire. They had received reports that someone might be inside the structure, but were turned back by flames and smoke.
