If you grew up in the DMV during the 2010s you know about the severity of Air Jordan releases, especially during the holidays.
One of the most popular non-original launches to date, Cool Grey 11s, are set to make a retro comeback this December.
The Air Jordan 11(XI) were first released on March 3, 2001 and retailed at $125.
The cool grey colorway, the first of its kind, featured a grey patent leather body with a white midsole and a translucent but yellowish outsole. The herringbone traction bottom had a grip that was perfect for hardwood.
In December 2010, the well-anticipated shoe hit shelves again.
With simple changes such as a new icy blue bottom and “a traditional Cordura mesh textile for a simple synthetic nubuck,” these 11s were a homage to Jordan’s return to the NBA in the early 2000s.
The sleek, monochromatic sneaker is set to make its way back in stores on December 11th to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Cool Grey colorway.
The price tag is set for $225 USD and will be found at multiple retail stores and Nike.com
