Former D1 Collegiate Player Breaira Barksdale Is Bringing Woman’s Basketball To Front With Pro AM League
Its time for a new era. Breaira Barksdale had the vision to bring women’s basketball back and she is doing it in a huge way. A new Pro AM woman’s basketball league has been born in Baltimore City. The Barksdale Woman’s Invitational made its debut last Thursday at Digital Harbor High School.
Spectators enjoyed 3 games from local players and current/former collegiate players. The creator of the league is Baltimore City’s own Barksdale. She is a former D1 Collegiate Player who went to Unversity of North Carolina Asheville for 3 years and finished her senior year at Tusculum University in Tennessee.
The league is NCAA sanctioned which means collegiate players are eligible to play and scouts can come to games to find upcoming talent that could’ve went under the radar. Urban fashion store Downtown Locker Room is also a sponsor for the league.
