The DMV Daily had the pleasure of speaking with Josiah Parker, the host of JPTV Show. Josiah strives to bring spiritual knowledge with some creative entertainment being involved in order to uplift those as we go through these tough times. Check out our exclusive Q&A down below.
Q: Tell us about your recent release.
Josiah: My recent release is videos of my brother’s music where I provide entertainment and performance of me performing to it and the goal is to be able to have people open-minded to new styles of music and pay more attention to the messages behind the entertainment rather than how good it is.
Q: Who inspired you to get into writing?
Josiah: I am really kind of inspired to get into this just because I always loved trying new things also with the influence of my brother who has already been in the music world longer than me. I saw an opportunity to put both me and my brother’s creations together to create something INFLUENTIAL for the world, so I had to take it.
Q: How would you describe the experience of writing a book?
Josiah: If I was to write a book, it would be about my Life Vision and how that’s the reason that got me to want to work on something great through putting TIME & ENERGY on myself for something to show this world. Being able to open people’s minds to the spiritual wisdom of life and being able to become your best self through the knowledge you have on where you came from, and what you’re currently living in so would help you figure out where you’ll be going within the future. I’m here to remind us all, as spirits, what we’ve been always doing since day 1 so everyone could remember their purpose and bring balance and justice to this world.
Q: We know it’s always a creative process with being an author, could you tell the people what’s your process like as a creator?
Josiah: Being a creator sometimes could be difficult because you’re hit with moments of not knowing where to start but the more you stop overthinking and just apply something simple, the rest will come. As a creator, there are certain looks I’m looking for within certain songs I use to offer a creative story for each song and for others to see the creation of how each one was being implemented within the music.
Q: How would you say Social Media has impacted your development?
Josiah: Social media has allowed me to create a platform and a voice for this world. I’m a spiritual dude so social media allows me to have the freedom to express my views within how I see reality in order to bring influence and a positive message to whoever runs into my page. It has allowed me to help those with personal life problems we all go through and with all the dark things we go through in this world, I could bring the LIGHT and the TRUTH so that others around me start finding themselves as well. – Some famous people I admire are people like ASAP Rocky, Chris Brown, Tyga, and my brother, Young Eli and Rico Nasty up there as well shouts out to her!
Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Josiah: The best advice I’ve been given was to treat your life in the PERCEPTION of how YOU want to see it. You have the light inside that brings you mystical manifestations of what you’re trying to create here. It’s what I call FWAGO!!
Q: If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
Josiah: If I could change anything about myself, I would change nothing and rather just realize my perfections and imperfections and BALANCE out how those things are being applied in the real world through the understanding of my higher self and ego. Every day you wake up you’re changing. You just have to CONNECT the dots on how much of your progression is impactful or influential to the world.
