Please note that in the state of Maryland:

  • You may not have or obtain a CDL or school bus license while having your medical card.
  • You may not obtain a firearms license or use firearms while having your card.
  • Having the card does not exempt you from the cannabis portion of drug testing. Speak with your individual employer or test site regarding possible exemption.
  • It is illegal to smoke or have a schedule I narcotic in public or in a vehicle.
  • Having your medical card may disqualify you from programs such as Military Service, Medicaid, Medicare, housing assistance, cash assistance, disability, etc. Please refer to your program guidelines regarding medical marijuana.
  • CBD and THC products, edibles, and infusions may only be sold at a licensed dispensary.
  • Dispensaries may only receive their stock from licensed Medical Cannabis Distributors in Maryland.
  • Only a valid cardholder may enter the dispensary, and make purchases.
  • As of now, all MD dispensaries operate as cash only.
