Hundreds of protestors took to the streets in Los Angeles on Saturday to condemn any and all Anti-Asian hate and violence surging throughout the country, according to KTLA.

In Koreatown, a “Stop Asian Hate” solidarity march was led by a troupe of drummers who were heading down Olympic Boulevard from Berendo Street. The march concluded at Normandie Avenue, where the solidarity rally was held. During the rally, many activists and local politicians espoused their stories on bullying and discrimination that they have faced. Many of them also spoke out against the rise in hate crimes of Asian Americans.

“I think now is the right time for us, the Asian American community, to fight back and stop the hatred,” said Ian Moon of Hwarang Youth Federation.

Community leaders claimed that people are marching not only for Asian Americans, but also for Black and Latino communities, as well.

In West Hollywood, Asian Americans joined forces with the LGBTQ+ community along La Cienega Boulevard.

Other rallies have been held in Los Angeles City Hall, San Bernardino, other parts of Southern California and in the San Francisco Bay Area.
