The 34-year-old Super Bowl-winning quarterback finally moves on to a different team. According to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, the Baltimore Ravens will be trading Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos for a fourth-round pick.

Ravens and the Broncos are not allowed to comment on the deal until the NFL starts it new calendar year on March, 13. Flacco has 3-years left on his deal and is expected to rework it when traded.

Past Season

Flacco Trade

The 11-year veteran started the first 9 games for the Ravens in 2018. A hip injury caused the Ravens to turn to rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson. Flacco led the Ravens to a 4-5 record before being injured. He threw 12 touchdowns, 6 interceptions and completed a career-low 61.2 percent of his passes. He finished the season with 2,465 passing yards.

With Jackson, the Ravens went 6-1 and earned a playoff berth. The Broncos have missed the playoffs for 3 straight years and are expected to start Flacco at the helm. Case Keenum the current starter for the Broncos signed a two-year $36 million contract during the 2018 free agency. Keenum didn’t have a good season and couldn’t deliver as expected.

Rapoport went to Twitter to say he was told the Broncos will shop Keenum and if they can’t find anything it will be a release or a massive pay cut expected.

Keenum finished the season with 3,890 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
