Another Strong Win for the Lady Bulldogs
The Bowie State Bulldogs Women’s basketball team continued their success and roll smoothly on Wednesday night on the road against the Lady Blue Bears of Livingstone College with a score of 74-62.
The victory brings the Lady Bulldogs to an 12-3 record and a 5-1 record in CIAA conference where they are currently sitting at third place in the Northern Division.
Senior Kyah Proctor had another strong performance, leading all scorers with 24 points. Teammate Sade Chatman was right behind Proctor with 17 points on the night.
The Bulldogs held advantages in points off turnovers (20-12), second chance points (20-12), and bench points (19-14) which all were the determining factors for success. The defense put on another strong performance against the Lady Blue Bears, holding them to just 32 percent from the field (20-of-61).
This win brings the Lady Bulldogs to a five game winning streak as they will be traveling to Pennsylvania to take on the Lady Lions of Lincoln Univerisity on Saturday with tip-off set at 2pm.
