Power Actor Isaiah Stokes Indicted By Grand Jury for Second-Degree Murder
A grand jury this past Friday indicted 41-year-old actor Isaiah Stokes on the charges of second-degree murder and criminal possesion of a weapon in the death of of 37-year-old Tyrone
A grand jury this past Friday indicted 41-year-old actor Isaiah Stokes on the charges of second-degree murder and criminal possesion of a weapon in the death of of 37-year-old Tyrone Jones.
The shooting occured on Febrary, 7th, in Jamaica, Queens according to the District Attorney’s office. Video recording shows Stokes approaching Jones’ parked car and proceeding to fire 11-gunshots into the vechicle. Jones was prounounced dead later at a hospital.
Queens Districk Attorney Melinda Katz commented on the incident saying:
“Gun violence is all too prevalent in our neighborhoods. We will not allow it to become the norm.”
Stokes has made appeareances in Law and Order:SVU, Boardwalk Empire, Power and more. Stokes couldn’t be reached for comment and it’s not known whether his attorney would comment on the charges.
His next appearance in court will be this Monday, and if convicted he faces 25-years to life in prison.
