Fauquier County sheriff’s office are looking for a 17-year-old suspect, who is accused of killing his mother and 6-year-old brother, and then shooting his father. The shooting took place Friday evening inside a home on Elk Run Road.
The sheriff’s office has identified the suspect as Levi Norwood. They have not identified the type of clothing he is wearing, but stated that he is 5-foot-9 and weighs 125 pounds. Norwood’s most distinctive feature is short, purple hair.
Around 6 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene after the father arrived home and found his wife and youngest son dead. The suspect fired his gun at his father, injuring him but he escaped and called 911.
When law enforcement arrived to the scene, they believe the gunman had barricaded himself within.
Around 10:15 p.m., sheriff deputies were able to breach the home, but Norwood was nowhere to be found.

The father was taken to a local emergency room for treatment.
