It’s finally cookout season foodies! After Memorial Day weekend, many of us will be munching on the BBQ leftovers from the family cookout for the next few days. However, for those of you who weren’t able to see your family and friends due to the pandemic, we have the perfect alternative for you!

Smoking Kow BBQ has everything from brisket platters to cheddar sausages (and don’t even get me started on their burnt ends). The restaurant has two standing locations in Alexandria and Arlington, and also operate a few food trucks around D.C.

The owner, Dylan, is a BBQ-eating enthusiast who originally started as a finance and accounting consultant. Dylan noticed that BBQ is underrepresented in the DMV and began pursuing his passion, becoming a Smoke Master. He perfected his craft, creating delicious rubs, sauces, and even tortillas! After experiencing with cooking techniques and improving his signature BBQ taste, he opened what we now have as the Smoking Kow BBQ.

Here are a couple of the items on the Smoking Kow BBQs menu that are mind-blowing:

Get into this half-pound of juicy ribs and perfectly smoked brisket!

Here’s our review:

The DMV is not known for its BBQ, but there are a few gems in the city that will blow your mind. Smoking Kow BBQ is one of them. For a family gathering, I purchased a half-pound of ribs, a half-pound of brisket, pork belly, and a jalapeno cheddar sausage. I can honestly it was some of the most tender BBQ if had in Northern Virginia. The demand for Smoking Kow’s BBQ is very high, so ordering ahead is your best bet. One thing that sets Smoking Kow apart from the rest is their consistency! The food on their food trucks is just as tasty and tender as the food in their standing locations. After three visits, I have yet to be disappointed.
