Q: Tell us about your recent release:
Southside Santana: My Latest Release Is A Project Titled “Till The World Stop Moving” Which Is Available Everywhere. The Project Is 18 Tracks Long which is uncommon today.
Q: Who inspired you to make music?
Southside Santana: My Inspiration To Make Music Comes From My Love Of Music. I Honestly Feel Like The Gift Of Gab Was Always there. I Just Had To Realize How Talented I Was At It
Q: How would you describe the music that you typically create?
Southside Santana: I Would Define The Music I Make As Lyrical Street Music. A Combination Of Punch Lines And Metaphors Mixed With Topics About The Streets, My Life, And Life Itself
Q: What is your creative process like?
Southside Santana: Very Different. As Far As Writing A Song It Just Depends On What Feeling The Beat Gives Me And What Pops Up In My Head. Making Songs Can Very Depending On If It Sounds How I Thought It Would.
Q: Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Southside Santana: I Definitely Would Like To Do A Song Or Maybe A Project With Wale. He Definitely Would Have To Be The Most Successful Artist From The Area. Lyrically Not Many Can Compare.
Q: What is one message you would give to your fans?
Southside Santana: My Message Would Be To Be Yourself, Follow your Dreams With All The Effort You Have, and To Never Let Anyone Else Or Their Doubt Stop You
Q: What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?
Southside Santana: To Be Honest I Don’t Know. Hopefully Not Dead Honestly I Feel Like Music Saved My Life. I Played Football Growing Up Maybe That.
Q: Where have you performed?
Southside Santana: I Have Performed At Mostly Lounges In The City At Open Mics. My Goal Is To Be Able To Perform On Venues With Major Artist And Also Go On Tour.
Q: How would you say Social Media has impacted your music career?
Southside Santana: Even Though I Hate It Social Media Has Helped A Lot Especially During The Pandemic. Being Able To Promote Things Through Social Media Helps Boost Your Fan Base.
Q: Which famous musician(s) do you admire?
Southside Santana: I Wouldn’t Call It Admiration But There Are Artist Whose Approach To Music Helped Me. Artist Like J.cole, Kendrick, Wale. I Love The Way They Make The Music They Want To Make And Don’t Try To Make Their Sound Fit In.
Q: What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?
Southside Santana: Everyday Of My Life Until I Was About 18 I Got Into Trouble every day. No Convictions Of Any Kind Though.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Southside Santana: The Best Advice I Was Given Was That I Could Do Anything That I Put Effort Into. Not The Most Iconic Statement But It Speaks Volumes.
Q: If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Southside Santana: I Would Change The Fact That So Many People Who Lack Real Talent Make It At A Higher Rate And Are More Glorified Than Those With Real Talent
Q: What’s next for you?
Southside Santana: My Next Thing Is To Keep Pushing The Project, Shoot More Videos, Do More Interviews, Possibly Get On Some Paid Venus/Tours. Just Trying To Expand And Showcase My Brand Of Music.
