6lack or six lack? Regardless, his music is crack, music is love
Atlanta artist 6lack drops his sophomore project ‘East Atlanta Love Letter’ after a two year hiatus from dropping ‘Free 6lack’ and it’s a very easy listen on the ears. A mixture of 6lack vocals harmonized on excellent production and great features really bring this project to life. 6LACK known for hits, Ex Calling and PRBLMS shown growth since then with becoming a father recently.
If you’ve listened to 6LACK, Dark, trap influenced beats with lyrical content about relationships and his personal struggles. Not to mention his unique voice enhances the level of “darkness” in his music. This album is no different but it take sit to another level. East Atlanta Love Letter presents everything fans have grown to love about 6LACK but with more effort put into this project. Features from Khalid, J.Cole, Future, Offset and Ty Dolla $ign, show the added commitment and his growth in the industry over these past two years.
Overall, 6LACK avoids a sophomore slump and deliver on ‘East Atlanta Love Letter,’ the two year hiatus from dropping new music was really beneficial with 6lack journey to elevate as an artist. He also broke out of the stereotypical rapper-singer cliche and found his own niche’ with his trap esqe themes. This is music made with love.
