PUMA and MTV Takes us back to the 80s

Ever looked at something in your closet and think “wouldn’t this fit in another decade?” Well If you haven’t, Puma and MTV new sneaker collaboration RS-X collections combines modern sneaker design to go along with 80s TV show aesthetics based of the popular MTV show Yo MTV Raps similar to the collaboration they had in 2006. The design for the show draws inspiration from is the evolution of music in the current digital age, and is the latest addition to the RS-X range which creates a vibe with  aggressive, future-retro design elements that aptly play to the reinvention of music culture.

Some of the dope features of the sneaker is the mesh and textile upper, RS-X Tracks that is decked with sleek leather overlays. The shoes feature a cozy, custom fitted  OG RS technology on the midsole, and are embossed with a textile heel piece and molded sockliner with signature but stylish RS PUMA logo. The bulky silhouette debuting in Gray Violet -Charcoal Gray colorway creates a 80s vibe with a modern day feel.  Puma even uses this release to drop a new iteration of the RS-X Tracks sneaker. With intricate details and drops of bright neon, the collection features RS-X Tracks MTV Gradient Blaze in PUMA White – Sweet Lavender and RS-X Tracks MTV Gradient Gloom in PUMA Black – Sweet Lavender colorways. With a 80s feel and new design, the new RS-X tracks looks to be a must buy for any shoe fanatic!

The PUMA X MTV Capsule Collection will be available on DTLR.com Thursday, March 28th at 10AM.
