The Washington Mystics dominated in a Saturday afternoon win over the Connecticut Sun by a score of 102-59. The win for the Mystics is their fifth in a row extending their record to 9-3 giving them the WNBA’s best record.

The Mystics had six players score in double figures with forward Elena Delle Donne leading the way with 19 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Ariel Atkins followed with an all-around performance scoring 15 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.

The Sun did not shoot well from the field only shooting 30% from the field and 25% from three-point range compared to the Mystics shooting 53% from the field and 43% from three-point range.

The 43 point margin of victory for the Mystics is the largest in franchise history. It is also highest this season with the Las Vegas Aces holding the previous highest mark with a 35 point win over the New York Liberty. This is also the Mystics fifth time winning a game this season by a margin of 20 points or more compared to only four such games by the rest of the league combined.

This was the third meeting of the season between the Mystics and the Sun with the Sun winning the first two meetings taking the season series over the Mystics 2 games to 1.
