After failing to win their first three games following the All-Star break, the Wizards finally get over the hump getting a 110-106 home win over the Brooklyn Nets.
Bradley Beal, coming off of back to back 50 point games, finished tonight’s game with 30 points (17 points in the fourth quarter), five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Beal is now averaging 41.0 points per game in the Wizards’ four games following the All-Star break.
Rui Hachimura finished with 17 points while Davis Bertans came off the bench to record 14 points connecting on four three-pointers.
Caris LeVert led the Brooklyn Nets recording 34 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals. Spencer Dinwiddie finished with 18 points, six rebounds and three assists while DeAndre Jordan posted 16 points and 16 rebounds off the bench.
As the season winds down, the Wizards are looking to secure the final playoff spot but they have a long way to go as they are currently trailing the current eighth seeded Orlando Magic for that spot. Each game is critical for the Wizards down the stretch as the Magic hold the tiebreaker against them as a result of sweeping the four-game season series against them.
The Wizards will start a four-game road trip on Friday when they face the Utah Jazz.
