After losing their last two games, the Wizards bounce getting a 121-107 win at home against the Charlotte Hornets. They have now won five of their last six home games.

After losing their last two games, the Wizards bounce getting a 121-107 win at home against the Charlotte Hornets. They have now won five of their last six home games.

The Wizards started off slow finding themselves down by seven at the end of the first quarter facing a deficit as big as 10 points. The Hornets continued to put the pressure on the Wizards maintaining the lead throughout the quarter. The Wizards did their best to battle back bringing the lead down to as low as three points for the Hornets, but were unable to take the lead going into halftime down five points.

In the third quarter, the Wizards took a lead with five minutes to go in the third quarter their first lead since they were up 7-6 in the opening minutes of the first quarter. In the final 6:50 of the third quarter, the Wizards outscored the Hornets 17-5 to take a seven point lead to the fourth quarter. From there, the Wizards outscored the Hornets 35-28 in the fourth quarter to take a win on their home floor.

Wizards guard and All-Star snub Bradley Beal led the team falling short of a triple double finishing with 34 points, nine rebounds and nine assists with six of his seven field goals coming from three-point range. Thomas Bryant came off the bench to finish with 21 points and eight rebounds while Isaiah Thomas had 18 points and six rebounds.

The Charlotte Hornets were led by Miles Bridges who finished with 23 points and six rebounds while Terry Rozier finished with 21 points and seven rebounds.

Tonight was the first game of the Wizards’ six-game home stand. They will be back in action at home on Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets.
